Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 16, 2026

FretPulse (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By using FretPulse, you agree to the data practices described in this policy.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, information needed to run your account and subscriptions, and information generated automatically through your use of the Service.

Information you provide

  • Account data: Email address, password (stored by our auth provider as a secure credential), and account authentication metadata.
  • Profile & practice preferences: Skill level, practice goals/focuses, routine settings, and personalization preferences.
  • Support communications: Messages, category selection, and reply-to email address submitted through in-app support.

Subscription and billing data

  • Web billing: Subscriptions purchased on web are processed by Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers or CVV on our servers.
  • Mobile billing: On iOS and Android, subscriptions are processed through Apple App Store / Google Play and managed through RevenueCat for entitlement and subscription state handling.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage & performance data: Practice logs, exercise completion, session timing, progression metrics (such as BPM and related telemetry fields), and feature usage.
  • Analytics events: Product analytics events and screen views (for example onboarding steps, paywall views, and checkout intent events) collected through PostHog in configured production environments.
  • Device and technical data: App version, platform/OS details, route/screen names, and session-related metadata.
  • Approximate network location: We may derive country/region from network/IP signals (for example, to determine checkout flow or eligibility messaging). We do not collect precise GPS location for this purpose.

2. How we use your information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and personalize the Service, including routines, profile settings, and progress.
  • Process and administer subscriptions, purchases, renewals, and billing/account access controls.
  • Analyze product usage, screens, and funnels to improve user experience and feature quality.
  • Provide customer support and respond to requests, issues, and account inquiries.
  • Protect the security and integrity of the Service, prevent abuse/fraud, and comply with legal obligations.

3. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as needed to operate the Service:

  • Infrastructure & auth: Supabase (database, authentication, edge functions, and related backend operations).
  • Web payments: Stripe (checkout, subscriptions, billing portal, and webhook processing).
  • Mobile subscription infrastructure: RevenueCat, plus Apple App Store and Google Play where applicable.
  • Analytics: PostHog for product analytics and screen/event telemetry when enabled.
  • Support email delivery: Resend for support message delivery.
  • Region detection service: Cloudflare endpoints used to infer country/region from network data.
  • Legal & business transfers: We may disclose information if required by law or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer.

4. Cookies, local storage, and similar technologies

On web, we and our service providers use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, maintain preferences, and support analytics and service functionality. You can adjust browser settings to control cookie behavior, but some features may not work properly if cookies/storage are disabled.

5. Analytics and tracking choices

We use product analytics to understand app usage and improve the Service. Analytics behavior may differ by environment and platform configuration. If available in your jurisdiction, you may have rights to object to certain analytics processing. For requests, contact support@fretpulse.io.

6. Data retention

We retain personal data for as long as necessary to provide the Service, operate subscriptions, maintain required records, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations.

  • Account and profile data are retained while your account is active.
  • Practice history and telemetry are retained to provide performance history and progression features.
  • Billing/subscription records may be retained for legal, accounting, tax, and fraud-prevention needs.
  • Third-party processors may retain data under their own retention schedules and legal obligations.

7. Account deletion

You can request account deletion from within the app or by contacting support. Deletion removes your account data from our active systems, subject to required legal retention and technical backup cycles. Some records held by payment providers or app stores may remain under their independent obligations.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted transport (TLS), access controls, and secured backend infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

9. International data transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than where you reside. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

10. Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 where required by local law). If we learn that a child has provided personal information without required consent, we will take steps to delete it.

11. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or port certain personal data, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.

To submit a privacy request, email support@fretpulse.io. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.

12. Third-party links and services

Our Service may link to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will update the effective date and provide notice where required by law. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
